Egg Pakora

Egg Pakora

Ingredients:  
Eggs      – 4 hard boiled
Gram flour(besan) – ½ cup
Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon
Garam masala powder – ¼ teaspoon
Cumin seeds powder – ½ teaspoon
Black pepper powder – ¼ teaspoon
Chaat masala powder – ¼ teaspoon
Garlic flakes – 2 chopped or paste
Chopped green chilli – 1 or 2 (according to your test)
Salt – to taste
Oil – for frying
Onion – 1 small thinly sliced in a circle
Water – for making thick paste
Coriander leaves (optional) – For garnish

Method:  

  • Peel the hard boiled eggs and cut into six pieces. Keep it aside.
  • Medium mixing bowl mix gram flour, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, cumin seeds powder, black pepper powder, chopped green chili,  garlic paste or chopped garlic and salt.
  • Add little water and mix it well.  Make thick batter.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan. Keep the heat on medium flame.
  • Deep sliced egg one by one  into batter and fry in a heated oil.
  • Fry until both sides of the eggs are golden color.
  • Once it’s done frying keep the fried  egg pakoras on a paper napkin, so extra oil will be removed.
  • In a serving plate serve egg pakoras  garnish with circular cut onion and chopped coriander leaves.
  • On top of it  sprinkle chaat masala powder and serve hot with chutney or sauce.
